The TCS Board of Directors met during the 5th International Conference on Cycad Biology (CYCAD 99) in Miami, FL, to discuss the reinvigoration of the society. Ever since 1999, the board has actively strived to improve the society and increase member benefits. Two of the most important benefits of TCS membership are the<\/span><em style=\"font-size: 15px; font-weight: 400; color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif;\">\u00a0Cycad Newsletter<\/em><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-weight: 400; color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif;\">\u00a0and the Cycad Society Seedbank.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Member Involvement<\/strong>&#8211;The Cycad Society Board of Directors would like to get the members involved in the society, and one place to start is by contributing to the\u00a0<em>Cycad Newsletter<\/em>. Over the past few months, we have added new sections to the newsletter, and there will be more to come in future issues.
