Membership
The Cycad Society Membership includes access to two issues of The Cycad Newsletter per year in digital or hard-copy (depending on membership level), access to our Seed Bank (for US-Based members), and access to exclusive online presentations or events. Membership fees help support The Cycad Society’s mission to conserve cycads through the promotion of education and scientific research and fund yearly grants awarded to students and researchers in support of this mission.
Note: due to the increased costs of mailing physical newsletters, our membership fee structure has recently changed allowing members with US-based postal addresses to select to receive physical hard-copy versions of The Cycad Newsletter by mail, or digital versions by email. Unfortunately, we will no longer be mailing hard-copy versions of The Cycad Newsletter to foreign addresses except to those belonging to libraries or botanical institutions that archive our publication. Access to our Seedbank is limited to US members only due to CITES and other restrictions. All members are required to provide updated email and physical mailing addresses and keep these up to date by mailing us at . The following options are available for new membership or membership renewals:
- Global Digital Membership – $35.00 per year or $100 for a 3-year commitment, including The Cycad Newsletter sent via email in digital format. Available to all members worldwide.
- US Print Membership – $45 per year or $130 for a 3-year commitment, including a printed hard-copy of The Cycad Newsletter sent by mail. Available exclusively to members with US-based postal addresses.
- Global Digital Student Membership – $25.00 per year, including The Cycad Newsletter sent via email in digital format. Available to all members worldwide. Students may be required to show proof of their status as a registered full-time student.
- Foreign Library Print Membership – $45.00 per year or $130 for a 3-year commitment, including a printed hard-copy of The Cycad Newsletter sent by mail. Available exclusively to foreign libraries and botanical institutions that archive our publication.
